Modern Saints Mural Series – Notre Dame Parish, Clarendon Hills, IL
Commissioned by Fr. Mark Bernhard, I created a series of three murals for Notre Dame Parish that highlight the lives of modern-day saints through visual storytelling. Each saint is portrayed with personal attributes and symbols that reflect their unique journey of holiness—helping viewers connect with them in a more intimate and relatable way.
For example, Blessed Carlo Acutis is shown with his laptop and the Eucharistic miracles website he created; St. Thérèse of Lisieux is surrounded by roses, reflecting her "little way" of love; and Blessed Chiara Badano is depicted enjoying the simple joys she loved—sports, coffee with friends, and radiant joy in suffering. These murals were designed to draw hearts closer to the saints and inspire viewers, many of whom expressed being deeply moved by the images and the stories they tell.
